Symptoms of hormonal imbalance and how to heal

May 16, 2017

We are creatures who thrive on cause and effect.

You do one thing, one way for short amount of time, in hopes to see an effect days or weeks later from your hard work.

This is great to an extent, but hormonal issues take YEARS to develop and don't have the same causation or follow the same rules as most things (rebels).

Meaning: the poor food choices and excess alcohol, lack of self-care you neglected years ago are causing your issues.....not the treat meal you had last week.

You almost wish that you could manifest these issues quicker, that way you’d know to stop those bad habits and check yourself quicker.

I’m confident that when I started to develop my issues (at 26) It was from my “clean eating plan” AKA fully processed protein shakes, bars, and hormone filled meats that I ate years BEFORE that.

Mixed with massive amounts of stress from working out too hard and too long and being stressed to the max with school and a full-time job.

This is something that’s really hard to process for some, which is why people don’t change their habits right away…

But issues are secretly brewing behind the scenes, ready to explode like one of my favorite movies, Dante’s Peak.

This isn’t your fault, you didn’t know.

But doing nothing about it now that you know....is.

It’s time to step up and take action on your health BEFORE you have physical symptoms of hormonal imbalance such as:

  • Skin problems (acne, rosacea, psoriasis)

  • Inability to lose weight or unexplained weight gain

  • Intense PMS and cramping during your period

  • Very heavy periods

  • Spotting in-between periods (PCOS, Fibroids, endometriosis)

  • Hair loss

  • Brain fog

  • Low sex drive

  • Trouble sleeping

  • Lack of energy

  • Infertility

  • Miscarriages

I look at these now and cringe….

I had nearly all of these symptoms and I was miserable!

I now have the ability to help women, and help them before it’s too late. This isn't a passion, it's a responsibility.

I’ll never forget when I was working for a naturopathic doctor specializing in hormones and I had to tell a 29 year old she went through menopause.

She was a bikini competitor who waited WAY too long to get help.

Especially if you want to have children, take this seriously.

Here are some other tips and tools you can do to balance your hormones:

-Detox your body through a proven protocol to remove toxins so you can have a  fresh and cleansed body to work with.

-Limit alcohol use which increases estrogen which at increased levels can be the reason you aren’t losing weight.

-Incorporate maca root into your daily regimen which helps to balance hormones (always check with your doctor before taking new supplements if you are currently taking medications)

-Eat only organic meats, fruits and vegetables.

-Limit caffeine to 1-2 cups per day and skip the sugar.

-Add in Omega-3 fatty acids and coconut oil daily.

-Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep every night as sleep is vital for healthy and                  happy hormones.

Hormone imbalance is a very serious thing that not only affects your quality of life, but can have serious health implications later in life if not treated and addressed properly.

We all have ONE precious life, live it on purpose and feel amazing every single day.

Don't waste another second of your life feeling less than fabulous.

Xoxo,

Taylor
